Experience 12 days of inner and outer exploration in Africa’s cherished land, Tanzania, guided by Sara Falugo and a fellow yogi who is native to Tanzania. Travel within Tanzania is included, as are accommodations, park entrance fees and most meals. Our adventure will begin in Arusha, home to Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, and will end on the white sand beaches in Bagamoyo.
The first two thirds of our journey will be filled with exploration, adventure and Safari. We will explore the Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area, UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to lions, black rhinos, hippopotamus, African buffalo, blue wildebeest, zebra, African bush elephant, spotted hyena, cheetah, among a variety of other animals. We will practice early morning yoga as the sun rises in the Savannah plains and visit the Olduvai Gorge, also known as the Cradle of Mankind We will spend time with the gorgeous Maasai people, famous for their distinctive customs and dress. We will explore Mount Meru, and experience chill yin under the stars while “glamping” in the Serengeti National Park.
After adventuring, we will settle into our beach bungalows in Bagamoyo for reflection, integration, meditation, yoga, inner exploration and we will partake in a gentle exploration of the local history and offerings. And as an offering back to the community, two of founders of Worthy Beyond Purpose, Jess Brown and Connie Clotworthy, will be offering meditation and yoga to the local children.
